- Device information (model, operating system, app version)
- Approximate location (only if you enable prayer-time auto-detection)
- Usage data (which features you use, anonymous performance metrics)
- Crash logs to help us fix bugs
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide accurate prayer times based on your location
- Send the reminders and nudges you opt into
- Track your streaks, progress, and reading history
- Improve the app, fix issues, and develop new features
- Respond to your support requests
3. How We Share Your Information
We share data only in narrow, necessary cases:
- Service providers who help us run Mutaqi (cloud hosting, analytics, push notification delivery) — under contracts that limit them to acting on our behalf.
- Legal requests when we are required by law to disclose information, and only to the extent required.
- Business transfers if Mutaqi is ever involved in a merger or acquisition — your data would remain protected under this policy or one equivalent to it.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Your data is stored on secure servers with industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. We retain personal data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time, and we'll remove your data within 30 days unless we're required to keep it longer for legal reasons.

Mutaqi serves Muslims around the world. Your information may be processed in countries different from where you live. When that happens, we use appropriate safeguards — like standard contractual clauses — to keep your data protected.
