Welcome to Mutaqi. By downloading, installing, or using our app, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully — they explain your rights, our responsibilities, and the limits of what we offer.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Mutaqi, you confirm that you've read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to use Mutaqi. If you're under the age of majority where you live, you confirm that a parent or guardian has approved your use of the app.
3. Your Account
You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Don't share your password, and let us know right away if you suspect unauthorized access. You're responsible for activity that happens through your account.
4. Religious Content Disclaimer
Mutaqi includes Quranic text, translations, hadith excerpts, prayer times, and AI-generated answers about Islam. We work hard to ensure accuracy, drawing from authentic sources, but:
- Translations are interpretations — they don't replace the original Arabic text.
- Prayer times are calculated based on standard methods and your location; verify with a local mosque when precision matters.
- Deen AI provides general information, not formal religious rulings (fatwas). For matters of personal jurisprudence, please consult a qualified scholar.
We're a tool to support your journey, not a replacement for traditional Islamic scholarship.
5. Acceptable Use
When using Mutaqi, you agree not to:
- Misuse the service or interfere with its operation
- Attempt to access accounts or data that aren't yours
- Reverse engineer, copy, or redistribute the app
- Use the app for unlawful purposes or to harass others
- Submit content that is offensive, hateful, or violates Islamic ethics
6. Subscriptions and Purchases
Mutaqi is free to start. Some features may require a paid subscription. If you subscribe:
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
- Manage or cancel through your App Store or Google Play account.
- Refunds are handled by the relevant app store under their policies.
7. Your Content
Anything you create in Mutaqi (notes, bookmarks, journal entries) belongs to you. By using the app, you grant us a limited license to store and display that content for the sole purpose of providing the service to you.
8. Our Intellectual Property
The Mutaqi name, logo, design, code, and original content are owned by us and protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not use them without written permission. Quranic and hadith content is part of the broader Islamic heritage and is presented to you as a service.
9. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from the app's Settings. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or use Mutaqi in a way that harms other users or the service. Where reasonable, we'll give notice before doing so.
10. Disclaimers
Mutaqi is provided "as is" and "as available." We do our best to keep it reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service or error-free content. Use of the app is at your own discretion.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mutaqi and its team are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim won't exceed the amount you've paid us in the previous 12 months (or, if you haven't paid us, a nominal amount).
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we'll notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continued use of Mutaqi after the update means you accept the revised Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Mutaqi is headquartered, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts located there, unless local consumer protection law gives you the right to sue elsewhere.
